Based in Boise, Idaho, The word No Has Escaped is a blog by Regan Meade. Her posts explore her life and the world around her through poetry; and to explore the creative mind by encouraging other writers to challenge themselves with writing prompts.

Take care, there is a time for truth,

That sky above is not shrouded by clouds,

Those are shadows of floating kingdoms,

Snow is not crystalized water

But gems of sorrow by Mother,

Those are her tears of sorrow,

Like acid they melt away life and replace it with rigid roots and death on each branch,

She cries for the loss that happens,

When her children fall from Grace’s cupped hands,

She cried with fear,

That their souls are being tarnished by the divides uncertainties,

With Hope waiting on her shoulder,

Thunderous eyes stare down at the dark below who with gluttonous smiles

beckon the fallen to their jaws,

Only another six weeks,

Her children would be free of their clutches

Until the clock rewinds

And her eyes begin to burn and the sleepless death beckons once more.
